Latest Apple Theory

Ok, so everyone has been saying how Apple is going to release a new line of sub-notebooks, as well as the long running rumors about Apple making a tablet. There have also been rumblings, although widely dismissed ones, about multi-touch screens on MacBooks. Once again, the rumor mongers are missing it. The sub-notebook IS the tablet, using the iPhone version of OS X and the multi-touch interface.

For those of you keeping track, I posted about the iPhone/Widescreen iPod/Touchscreen iPod being one and the same on Gizmodo and Engadget long before it came out (which as you probably recall - no one in the Apple Rumor mill was claiming.) hehehehe

He is BACK!

The Mac is back.  Mostly recovered from the serious hard drive crash.  It look like I will have to reload all the Adobe programs (I think that is part of their copy protection.)  But it actually might be perfect timing.  I’ll run it for a bit, make sure there are no repeats, and then upgrade to CS3 anyway.  I wanted to post some witty pics of me and the computer with party hats and horns, but no time to stage something so silly.  Too busy taking Lynda.com tutorials on CSS and reading up on marketing for work.

FINGERS CROSSED!!!! CS3 In March!!!

Please say it’s so! ThinkSecret (and now everyone else) is reporting that Apple will release the long awaited update to Creative Suite - CS3. This one will have Intel Mac support (which means a wicked speed improvement when working on my MacBook Pro) and from what I’ve read, the improvements to Illustrator are going to be extensive including better integration with Flash. Not that I can really do anything with Flash…but someday….maybe… Read it here: Thinksecret

I have lost a friend.

My Macbook Pro died this week.  The HD failed and I lost my files and everything (luckily, only about 90 days worth.)  Thank goodness it was within warranty.  This was my work computer though, so everything I have put together since I started back at Boldchat is now gone.  Besides being without my best friend (we do everything together) I now have to try and recreate the last 3 months, which is just completely impossible.  Hurry back, my silver pal.  You are missed.

Oh, and if you have the pleasure of running an Intel Mac, be careful about overloading the unit.  I only had 1GB of memory and was trying to run Parrallels/WinXP, Entourage, Yahoo! IM, Firefox, and then I opened Photoshop CS2 to create a file.  Oops.  Apparently, that will somehow kill a drive or exacerbate a sick one.
